Update posted Wednesday February 01, 2012

Ice thickness measured on Sunday, January 28, 2012 by Race Official 'Mike' was At 12 inches + over most of the Pond.

Currently there is allot of water on top due to the recent warm temperatures and melting snow.

The next update will be posted this weekend or early next week.

Lakecross Format

Our Lakecross format is both fun and challenging to race.

The race course is approximately 2-3 miles long and laid out on an unplowed lake. The track is very curvy with some man made jumps and whoops, but most of the course is left untouched to develop its own challenges as the day goes on. This mixing of lake enduro and snowcross style makes for fun racing for Pros and Amateurs alike, as the skill of the driver is tested more than machine set-up.

Racing is “head to head” with 6-10 sleds racing at a time. Races are from 3-5 laps long so there is plenty of track time, with heat races to qualify for Finals at the end of the day.

A “run what ya brung” format is used so stock and modified machines are allowed, as classes are divided by displacement of the engine-see list below.

Safety equipment is required (tether cord, Saf Jac, and a quality helmet). ALL sleds will be safety inspected.
